My Festival Weekend

Image
As you guys know last weekend I went to a festival near my town. It's a festival that happens every August bank holiday weekend and I've been going there for a few years now. I just thought instead of talking about my weekend which was honestly a good weekend. I enjoy going camping there and listening to the music. This year I decided instead of going home every morning as me and my mum normally go home each morning after sleeping in a tent to have a shower as it is very close to our home the festival. We decided to stay the Saturday morning and use baby wipes instead. Honestly it was very relaxing to just chill and not worry about driving or going back home. Most people in our group went home but we were the only two that didn't and it was just nice. We had both showered the morning before we went so our hair was fine. We just used baby wipes and deodorant to freshen up ourselves. Honestly it is not that bad. Baby wipes will definitely be your best friends at the fest

My Festival Tips and Tricks

Image
As you know from my previous post I am going to be going to a three day camping music festival this weekend at my hometown. Now I've been doing a lot of research and getting tips. Even though I go to this festival every year, it's always nice to make the experience even more better than last years. The number one thing I recommend bring to your campsite at the festival is lots and lots of water. Hydration is important especially if your going to be drinking quite a bit over the weekend. It's vital to have some big bottles of water. They are not that expensive or if you can get your hands on some empty big bottles then do it. Stay hydrated. Another thing to do is to freeze the bottles before you go so that they stay nice and cold over the weekend. Trust me and also you can use it in your cool box to keep your food cold. Make sure you have a tent and if your going with friends or family then make like a circle with your tents so you can all be together and make plans t

What's in my bag? Festival edition

Image
Next weekend I'm going to a festival in my town. It's a three day camping music festival so I thought I'd share with you guys what I bring in my bag that I have on me during the festival. My biggest tip when going to a festival is of course having a bag that zips up as you don't want anything falling out of it. Also have either a cross body bag, a bum bag (a fanny pack as some people call it) or a small backpack. This so you don't have to be holding your actual bag and your hands are free for when your dancing away to the music. I'm kind of on the fence about backpacks as you never know someone may be behind you and open your bag up as a joke or take stuff from your bag. That's why cross body bags or bum bags (fanny packs) will do the trick as they are closer to your waist and you can keep them in front of you within your sight. This is the bag I'm taking. It's a cross body bag. I think it's from Peacocks. I bought it ages ago so I'm n

Love Rosie Book Review

Image
This post will contain no spoilers. Yes, I am doing another book review for you guys. I know I did one yesterday but I read this one after Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and read it within a day. Plus I really wanted to share with you guys my thoughts and feelings of this book. Here we go. The other day I read a book which I wanted to read because I watched the film for the first time recently and I found out there was a book. The book is called Love Rosie by Cecelia Ahern (also known as Where Rainbow Ends). As I had watched the film I had expectations of what was going to happen, however the book is slightly different to the film. Where different things happens to the film so some things I was not expecting. Anyway, this is written through different letters and emails from different characters as well as the two main characters Rosie and Alex. They have been best friends all their lives but they both have more than just friends feelings for one another but life gets in the wa

Footloose!

Image
Last night, I went to see Footloose the musical in my local arts centre. Normally every summer my local arts centre puts on a summer musical. Now me and mum enjoy going to see these as it's something fun and different to do. Now I'd never seen the movie Footloose. I'm familiar with the song but not with the movie or the musical. Now I googled a brief summary of what it's about and it's about this boy who moves to this small town which has banned dancing and rock and roll which are two things he loves. You can google it if your curious but most of you reading this have probably seen the film. Anyway, that's all I knew about it. I didn't know if there was going to be romance or drama or if it was going to be funny. I didn't know what was going to happen. All I knew was that there was going to be singing and dancing. Now let me just tell you that I absolutely fell in love with this musical. The moment it began I was instantly hooked. The music is ju

Harry Potter and The Cursed Child Review

Image
I promise you that this post will contain no spoilers of the book. It's just my thoughts and feelings of this book. Well, I managed to finish this book within two days. I wish I could have dragged it out longer but nope. I could not put it down. It just felt amazing to read about the magical world again. It's honest nice to have a bit of reassurance as to what happens to Harry, Ron and Hermione after the last book where they're all grown up. It's also a really interesting story to learn about their kids or more specifically Albus Severus which is who is the mostly main focus of this whole book as well as his relationship with Harry. It also shows his friendship with none other than Draco Malfoy's son Scorpius. You get to see characters both old and new and there's just loads of twists and turns. It's written as a play script because it is a play after all but it still tells the story perfectly well and you really imagine it inside your head. It'

Time for a change

Image
Remember back in January one of your new years resolution was to lose weight, get fit and eat healthier. Well, here you are. It's August and none of those things have happened. You tried but then gave up many times. That's the problem then there comes a time like now where after eating a take away with your friends that you feel super guilty because you take one look at yourself and see the stretch marks, the big thighs and the belly. That's when you know it's time for a change. You look at old photos of yourself and back then that's when you thought you were fat. When you were a size 12. Now since you've been at uni you've put on a stone and some of your clothes don't fit anymore or are just tight on you. That's when you know it's time for a change. I have 6 weeks until I go back to uni and I realise in those six weeks I can really make a difference to my body. That's why I'm going to do a workout every day even if it's a small o

A Mini Haul

Yesterday, I decided to walk to my Asda Superstore and I bought a few things which I thought I'd share with you guys. I went into Superdrug and Asda. The first place I went to was Superdrug and bought a couple of things. The first thing I bought was the Miss Sporty Insta Glow Blusher in the shade 003 Flushed Pink. I bought this because I don't have many blushers and this one was cheap. I also heard some good reviews about this blusher so I thought I'd go and buy it. The next thing I bought was the Pixie Lott Paint spray on hair colour in Gold Glitter. I bought this because I'm going to a festival at the end of August and I thought this would be fun to use. You put it on then easily comes off in the shower. It was cheap as well so I just thought why not. The final thing I bought in Superdrug is Zoella's Candy Cream Softening Body Lotion. I just realised I don't have a body lotion and I've kind of been in need of one. I knew Zoella had a body

July Favourites

Image
I can't believe it is the end of July already. I feel like it's gone by so quickly. Anyway, it's tradition if you managed to discover new things each month to make a favourites post so that's what I'm doing today. My favourites consist of books, beauty, films and random. Anyway let's get on with this post. Starting with books. I've been reading a lot this month and the first book I'm going to talk about is On The Other Side. I recently made a post all about this book let me just tell you that I loved every minute of it and it is one I definitely would read again. It's so good. Carrie Hope Fletcher is an expert in my opinion when it comes to books and the fact she's written a fiction book makes me so happy. I loved her All I Know book which was kind of like a self help book but this one is just amazing and I really do recommend it to any of you. Now I don't have any other books to talk about as the only other book I've read this mon

My Top Ten Favourite Books

Image
As most of you who read my blog know I write a lot of posts about books. The reviews and hauls and just my excitement over a book. It suddenly then came to me that I've never written a post about my favourite books. I thought I'd make it easier and write about my current top ten favourite books. I love reading and every book I've read has not been a disappointment yet. This is just my favourites at the moment. I still have plenty more books to read and on my reading list. This is just how I'm feeling at the moment for the top ten books I cannot live without. I'm also including series in this list as you can't have a book from one series and not include the rest of the series. Anyway I've rambled on too much here so let's just get on with the list. 10. McFly: Our Story Okay, I had to put this in my top ten as I've loved McFly ever since I was younger. Reading this book just made me open my eyes a bit more and realise that you have no idea what
