Last Post Of 2016

I know I said yesterday that I wasn't going to post anymore in 2016 but I was just sitting on the sofa thinking a lot about this year and all the things I've done. I didn't actually realise it until I was sitting home alone that I have done a lot which have sort of helped me and given me more room to love myself. Since being at university I have learned to be more independent and do things for myself. I've learned to cook meals, do laundry, keep my bedroom and do my own grocery shopping. Before going to university I never used to do most of these things and now I can do them with no questions asked. I've also grown a lot with independence because I've done things which I never thought I'd do alone. I actually planned day trips for myself. Now I know you're thinking why did I do these things alone but honestly I didn't mind and I didn't know if any of my friends wanted to go with me so I just decided to go alone and save the hassle. Being Productive For The New Year

Image
It's coming up to the new year now and for most of us, this a time for a change. That change tends to be a positive one but it doesn't matter if the change is big or small just as long as you're happy then it's fine. Now one of the biggest things I struggle with sometimes is being productive as I tend to procrastinate a lot. It takes time for me to be productive and I have to be in the right mindset to be productive. I thought I'd share with you a few tips on how to be productive. 1. Write everything you have to get done now Whether that is to write an assignment or prepare for something then write it down. Write a big to do list of everything you know you have to do then put it in the order it needs to be completed by with the first one being the one you have to do first as it is due in before the rest. 2. Start it now I know it's still the holidays and work is the last thing on your mind but maybe just do a little bit. Maybe look at what it is you h

The End Of Another Year

Image
It's the end of another year and nearly the start of a new year. 2016 has been a very interesting year. So much happened that it felt like it flew by so fast. Many great celebrities died this year. It was quite surprising how many died and so many recognisable names too. All of whom will be missed and I'm sure some of you were saddened by some of their deaths. The next interesting thing that happened was the UK got to vote whether to stay or leave the European Union. Surprisingly the UK voted to leave which shocked many people including myself. Obviously the UK will soon see the changes of Brexit in 2017 so let's just hope it was the right decision and whatever happens, happens. Another big thing that happened was the US Elections and it was a race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Donald Trump became president which also shocked lots of people including myself. Let's just say 2016 was the year full of surprises. A few things happened in my life in

Merry Christmas!

Image
Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day, however you celebrate it. Today is meant to be a happy day so be grateful to all the things you get and just be thankful you are where you are. I hope you have a good day and try to make beautiful memories.  I'll be celebrating with my family and I'm having turkey for dinner. I cannot wait to get on with this day and I hope it lasts because this day does tend to go by in the blink of an eye.  Anyway, I'll be back again soon with another post.  See you soon. Megan x

New Home

Image
Long time no post. I know it's been ages since I last made a post but I have a very good reason. Well, two weeks ago I was busy working on my assignments and I wanted to get them done so that was my main focus. Then I travelled home last week by train and arrived at my new house. My new house at home had no wifi so I was just living off the 3G on my phone and so I couldn't use my laptop or make any posts for a while. That is until now where this morning we finally had wifi installed into my new house which is literally the best. Now I can watch YouTube videos on my laptop instead of on my tiny little phone screen. Now that's another thing, I have moved house back at home and it's really great. I can now get a bus to town if I want to and I'm not too far away from a shop. I'm also not in the middle of nowhere which is a plus. I love my new room too. It's just the right size for me and I recently got a bookshelf from my nan as one of my Christmas presen

Not Much To Say

Image
As you can tell from the title of this blog. I've got not much to say. However, I have a bit of time where I'm doing nothing and I just wanted to write a blog. I have been a bit busy today. I got up at about ten o'clock and had breakfast which was Cookie Crisp and a coffee. I then had a shower, got dressed and tidied my room. I then spent an hour and a half playing my new game which I got yesterday which is Lego Harry Potter Years 1 to 4. I've been loving this game and I don't know why I never got it until now. After that at half one, I stopped playing and started to work on my assignment for one of my modules. The assignment is about analysing a brand of your choice and I chose PG Tips because I like PG Tips and I thought it'll be fun to analysing. I have to say, I was right because I've been loving doing this brand and researching about it. It's a really interesting brand. I literally worked on it for an hour and then my timer went off (because

Christmas Excitement

Image
It's December which means it's officially okay to be excited about Christmas. I tried to get into the Christmas spirit in November. Me and my housemates even put the tree up and decorated the house slightly. However, I was not fully in the Christmas spirit. I suppose because the excitement doesn't officially hit me until I open the first door to my advent calendar. If you don't have an advent caleneder in your country, basically each day you open a door on the calender up until Christmas and you get chocolate. Although sometimes you can get advent calendars which have other things inside instead of chocolate but every year I go for the traditional advent calendar. I don't care how old I am, I will always be getting an advent calendar for December. It's traditional. This year I've gone for Cadubury's Dairy Milk because I like that chocolate and it just reminds me of my childhood because I always used to get that calendar. It's something exciti

British Tea Survey

Image
Can you please take a moment to complete my survey about British Tea Brands. It will really help me out as I'm doing research for my university assignment about tea and your responses will really help me with my research about tea. It will only take a few moments to complete it. Thank you. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/W6LVVFD Megan x

My Study Routine

Image
As you may have noticed, I haven't really been posting lately and that's because life is getting slightly stressful at the moment as deadlines are coming up and I'm working on my assignments. I also just haven't found the motivation to post anything on here so I do apologize for that. Anyway, today I just thought I'd share with you my studying routine for when I'm doing assignments just to give you guys an idea about what I do when I'm working on my assignments and hopefully it'll give you some tips on what you could do when you're studying or working on assignments. So let's get on with my study routine. The first thing I do is make sure my surroundings are tidy. Especially if I'm working in my room (which I am today). I just have to make sure everything is tidy and my desk isn't too cluttered or else I cannot work and my mind will be distracted on how messy my desk or even my bedroom is. I just have a quick tidy up and normally

Unexpected Trafford Centre Trip

Image
This morning, I was just chilling in my PJs and drinking my coffee when my friends and I decided to go to the Trafford Centre. It was unexpected and wasn't plan but I just thought why not so I got up off the sofa and started getting ready. I haven't been to the Trafford Centre in a while and I also felt like treating myself to a few things so I set myself a budget then we were off, driving to the Trafford Centre. While I was there I didn't take many photos as I wanted to just experience it all without having to worry about taking pictures. The main place I wanted to go to was Waterstones because as you know I'm a massive bookworm. I wanted to go to Waterstones because Carrie Hope Fletcher has written a novella of her book On The Other Side which I absolutely loved. So when I found out that she had written a novella of this book which was exclusive to Waterstones then I knew I just had to have it. Now with this book it was buy one book get one half price. I was

Smile

Image
Smile because you are a beautiful person. Everything in your life will be okay. Don't let the haters bring you down. You are worth it. Everything you do is great. It's going to be a great day. You've done great getting through the week. Even if it was a hard week, lets make next week better. Talk to someone you haven't spoke to in a while. You could make their day. Even talk to your mum, dad, brother, sister. Anyone. Put a smile on someone's face. Tell them you love them and care about them. You'll feel so happy afterwards. Just remember though, if you're reading this then you truly are beautiful. Being yourself is the most beautiful thing in the world. There's only one of you and that makes you special. So just take a moment to smile and think of all the happy things in your life. Megan x

De-Stressing and Relaxing Tips

Image
Life can be very stressful at times no matter how old you are. Sometimes you just need to de-stress and have a bit of me time which will help you to kind of cool down and let go of the stressful thoughts which are currently clogging up your brain. I'm going to share with you some of my tips on how to de-stress. 1. Go for a walk outside Sometimes being inside is the problem because you could be stuck in your bedroom or in the library or somewhere and everything is just getting to you. I suggest going for a walk outside. Grab your iPod or however it is you listen to music and just go for a walk outside. I find this to be relaxing because I'm getting fresh air and it's just kind of relaxing to move around. You're not focusing on the stresses your currently facing and you're just thinking about where you're going or even the weather. Even just going for a walk to the shop will de-stress you because you're focused on getting what you need. Then when you
